Elijah Wood

In the late 1980's, I was contracted by Avant
Studios, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA to photograph their aspiring
talent. In the Summer of 1988 and January of 1989, I photographed
a young boy named Elijah Wood. The shoot was very memorable,
because this 7 year old boy clearly had talent. Elijah and
his family left Cedar Rapids to find stardom in California. His
career grew, and Elijah went on to appear and star in such movies
as:
 | Avalon, Paradise, Radio Flyer, Forever Young |
| The Good Son, North, The War, Flipper |
| Deep Impact, The Faculty |
Most notably, Elijah starred as Frodo Baggins in "Lord
of the Rings" trilogy ("The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two
Towers", and "The Return of the King").
More recently, Elijah has starred in movies such as:

| Sin City, Green Street Hooligans |
| Everything is Illuminated |

Comp Card
A "Comp Card" is a two-sided card that models use to
promote themselves and show their versatility. When Elijah and his
family went to Los Angeles with the hopes of being discovered, they took the
comp card below, containing 5 pictures that I took of Elijah. One of
his
first professional jobs was in a Paula Abdul video, which launched his
successful career.
